This high profile Charity’s Web team, based in central London, are currently looking for a Web Designer. The Web Designer will be responsible for UI/UX design and implementation across their websites and other online outputs, including HTML e-newsletters and display advertising. You’ll apply the principles of user-centred design to their online properties in order to enhance usability, help improve advice services’ delivery online and attract and retain supporters. A key player in ensuring the consistency of the brand online, you will make changes to retain a competitive edge in the rapidly-changing field of web design, whilst adhering to brand guidelines.
Proven experience of UI design to the highest standards on enterprise level websites and online features is essential. Expertise in Photoshop, Flash and other design packages, as well as sound knowledge of HTML and CSS. Experience of brand awareness and implementing consistent branding across websites is essential, as is experience of multimedia design in an online environment, including audio-visual skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to organise work and meet deadlines in a busy environment are imperative. Finally, knowledge of the principles and standards of usability and accessibility is required.
The web team boast a tight nit and friendly team however the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.
